Disassembly will take place on the example of Helios-44. Red P. 13 petals. My task was to fix two slightly bent petals.

  1. First of all, unscrew the three screws on the focusing ring.
  2. Next, unscrew the screw on the diaphragm adjustment ring.
  3. Unscrew the nut that contains the shutter release button (aperture control mechanism). Then we unscrew the three screws holding the platform with the button.
  4. We remove the platform.
  5. Now you can remove the lens block from the case.
  6. We unscrew the screw responsible for limiting the travel of the helicoid.
  7. We twist the outer ring of the helicoid.
  8. On the inner ring of the helicoid there is a screw that locks the built-in hood. We unscrew it.
  9. We twist the hood.
  10. If you paid attention - only on Helios -44 for "Start" one aperture blade - brilliant. This is the drive petal. This return spring is attached to it. The tail of the spring is bent. We unbend.
  11. Unscrew the two screws of the return spring base. We take it off. Unscrew the retaining ring from the front of the lens (on the right in the photo).
  12. Unscrew the front and rear lens blocks.
  13. The process of disassembling and assembling the diaphragm itself is not interesting, so assembly immediately. There are LOTS of little balls)
  14. I draw your attention - a rare and complex design of the diaphragm - think ten times before unscrewing these two screws.
  15. Disassembling the aperture control mechanism. The ring on the right in the photo captures the entire mechanism. It has one set screw. We unscrew it. Then we unscrew the ring.
  16. Attention! This diaphragm rocker has three balls. This completes the disassembly process.
  17. Reassemble in reverse order. Having previously removed the old grease, rinsing the parts in gasoline (using the KALOSHA), lubricating all rubbing surfaces with CIATIM-221.
  18. This is what it turns out - a great working lens. It will last for many more years.
