Zenit Zenitar 2/35 is a novelty of 2021 from the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant. It is already available in many Russian stores.

While a version is available for mirrorless cameras with bayonetom Sony E. It is possible that there will be options for other systems. Judging by the technical characteristics, the lens is suitable for full-frame cameras and for cropping. On the crop, classically, a large area of the image will be sharp than on the full frame. The logic of the aperture control is immediately apparent. The same logic is found in the early Industar-22 and Industar-50. and honestly, I don’t know what should have moved the designers to bring this, sorry, inconvenience back to modern times. Seriously.

I have never met a more inconvenient system. The grease dries up / the inter-ring distance is clogged and off we go. Although, if you rely on the visual blurring of the background, then you do not need to look at the set value. Matter of habit. It didn't work for me. Especially the idea of using a no-lock aperture ring. It will fail at the most inconvenient moment, but you yourself will not notice. Zenith Zenitar 35mm F2 optics with modern coating, and it is hoped that for such a retail price, at least the optical quality will be good. Below are the references, and I'm not very clear where 56 thousand are buried here? But. Small-scale production, after all, is better than none at all.
