Sankyō Kōki KK (三 協 光 機 ㈱) was a Japanese optical company that used the Komura trademark for various lenses. The company name was usually inscribed as Sankyo Kohki in English, for example, on hulls. However, the more traditional spelling Sankyo Koki Co., Ltd. has often been used in trademark applications in English.

The company was already active in the early 1950s. Before using the Komura trademark, she used the Chibanon or Chibanone trademarks, in particular, supplied lenses to the Tōsei Kōki Company. The Chibanon brand remained for some time on magnifying and projection lenses.

In 1962, the company registered Komura as a US trademark. The documentation indicates that Komura was first used as a trademark in 1953. At the time of this application, the company's address is listed as:

Sankyo Koki Co., Ltd.
69 Kita Inaricho
Taito-ku, Tokyo, Japan

In the 1970s, the company developed the Komura Unidapter system, which allowed their 35mm interchangeable lenses to fit on "virtually all Japanese and some European reflexes, as well as 16mm C-mount movie cameras." Komura Unidapter Existing adapters are known to include Canon FL, Exakta, M42 (Pentax / Practica), Miranda Sensorex, Nikon F, Minolta, Ricoh Singlex, Petri and Topcon D-1.

By the mid-1970s, the company changed its name to Komura Lens Manufacturing, Ltd. In 1975, the company registered Telemore as a trademark. The documentation indicates that the Telemore was first used in trade in 1969. In 1976, they registered Komuranon as a trademark. The documentation indicates that Komuranon was first used in trade in 1973. At the time of filing of applications for registrations of trademarks in the United States, the address of the company was as follows:

Komura Lens Mfg., Ltd.
17-3, Kasuga 2-chome
Bunkyo-Ku, Tokyo, Japan

Komura went insolvent in 1980, and in 1981 it was reported that it was negotiating an acquisition with a "major binocular manufacturer." The result is unknown, but all trademarks owned by the company have subsequently expired, suggesting that the company did not survive.

Komura lenses are praised by modern collectors especially for their high contrast, color reproduction and smooth bokeh.
