The Carl Zeiss Jena Biometar 120mm f / 2.8 is a lens for large medium format cameras. Fortunately, he has bayonet Pentacon Six (according to our "Bayonet B"), which allows you to easily put it through an adapter on a modern camera.

The lens immediately impresses with the build quality, but some questions arise with ergonomics. For some reason, you constantly confuse the focusing rings and aperture rings - I have not noticed this with me on other lenses.

Carl Zeiss Jena Biometar 120mm f2.8
A hood is recommended. The front lens comes close to the frame, and indeed the zebra version did not have multi-coating. Although, on the other hand, it is the low contrast that gives this object a certain atmosphere and airiness ...
The drawing of Carl Zeiss Jena Biometar 120mm f / 2.8 is very calm, balanced, harmonious. The colors are subtle, but correct. Of course, there was no vignetting at full aperture. The sharpness was surprisingly high.
This lens is recommended for those who like to shoot calm nature scenes or romantic female portraits.
